Agra Tour by Car and Driver Itinerary
Day 1: Agra from Delhi – Arrival and Taj Mahal Sunset Travel
Your journey starts with a dawn pickup from your hotel, house, or airport in Delhi by a humble driver provided by Rajasthan Tourism Holiday. Drive through the smooth Yamuna Expressway towards Agra, covering a distance of 230 km in about 3.5 to 4 hours. On reaching Agra, check and refresh at your hotel. After lunch, start a trip to their sightseeing places, with a trip to the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders in the world, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. As you pass through the Grand Gateway and see the tomb of amazing white marble, reflecting the evening light, the timeless beauty of this monument will make you spend. After spending time in the Taj, you can go to a nearby marble workshop to see the famous Pietra Dura Inle work. Return to your hotel by evening for dinner and stay in Agra overnight.
Day 2: Agra Fort, Itimad-ud-Darh, and Mehtab Bagh
Start your day with a delicious breakfast in the hotel before going out to visit UNESCO World Heritage Site, Agra Fort. This red sandstone fort was the seat of Mughal power and is home to Diwan-e-AAM, Diwan-e-Khas, Jahangir Mahal, and Musmaan Burj, from where Shahj Jahhan was surprised on the Taj Mahal in his last days. Subsequently, Uttam Itimad-ud-Darh go to the grave, often called “Baby Taj”, which is known for its complex marble forged work and Persian-style gardens. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and relax before visiting Mehtab Bagh, a garden complex on the banks of the Yamuna River. It offers a stunning sunset view of the Taj Mahal across the water, perfect for photographers and romantics. After a full day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Next visit Fatehpur Sikri, about 40 km from Agra. Built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, Fatehpur Sikri served as the Mughal capital for a brief period and is now a fully protected ghost city with sites such as Buland Darwaja, Panch Mahal, Diwan-e-Ahas and Salim Chishti’s tomb.By the evening, your driver will leave you at your hotel or airport in Delhi, which will mark the end of the rich of 2-day Agra Gateway with Rajasthan Tourism Holiday.
