Rajasthan has deserts side golden sand, cities painted blue, palaces painted pink, temples gleaming with white marble and lakes crowned with mirrors. It also boasts of silent gardens, cordial bazaar, serene temples and ancient havelis with painted tales. On this trip you will experience the beauty of the desert landscape, cool evening breeze of mountains, serenity of lakes and the laughs of folk dancers in the night.

It is an ideal family tour, couples, or lone our tour, which is more appealing to someone who loves culture and history but requires time to rest. Each day will be filled with sightseeing, food, shopping and leisure. The highways are good, the lodging places are comfortable and the guides are respectful. Day 1: Jaipur Welcome and Leisure evening.

Reach Jaipur, the Pink City. Travel to hotel and have rest.

See City Palace in the afternoon in a gentle manner. You will visit courtyards, walls that are painted, small museums with royal objects. The air is relaxed and you can stroll at your own pace enjoying the beauty.Then, go to Jantar Mantar, a pre-historic observatory. Its tools are huge stone paintings. The guide will detail the way they were used to study the stars by the kings.Visit Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds in the evening. On the exterior you will gaze at hundreds of little windows shinning at sunset.End the day with a stroll within Johari bazaar. You will see jewelry, fabrics, puppets. Jaipur dinner and stay.

Day 2: Jaipur Forts & Gardens

In the morning, visit Amber Fort, a hill-top fortress having courtyards, mirror halls, and large gates. You may ride a jeep, uphill. The fort is positioned along Maota Lake and the sight is beautiful

Then see Jaigarh Fort which possesses cannon and strong walls. Less people are there and you have time to sit and rest.Go to Nahargarh Fort which is known by sunsets after lunch. It is here that the city of Jaipur appears beautiful during the evening.Finish off with a visit to Sisodia Rani Garden with a relaxing environment made of fountains, flowers and painted pavilions. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 3: Pushkar Sacred Calm

Drive to Pushkar, a holy town. Get into your hotel and have a rest.Begin with Brahma Temple, which is one of the only a few temples of Lord Brahma in the world. The shrine is plain yet devotionally sound.Walk to Pushkar Lake. The ghats are silent, and pilgrims are burning diyas and reciting prayers. Sit by the water for peace.Stroll around Pushkar Bazaar in the evening. Beads, clothes and handicrafts are sold at small shops. Have a lassi made at one of the stalls near the hotel. Overnight in Pushkar.

Day 4: Udaipur – The City of Lakes

Breakfast and then drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival, move in to your hotel.Start with City Palace, a magnificent palace consisting of courtyards, glass work and museums. You will look out upon the glittering waters of Lake Pichola, through its balconies.

Take a boat ride in Lake Pichola, which has ghats, palaces, and small islands. The ride is relaxing and peaceful.This will be followed by a visit to Jagdish Temple, a tall temple with white carvings. Cap it off with Saheliyon ki Bari, the Garden of Royal Ladies, with fountains and pools of lotus. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 5: Udaipur Markets and Heritage.

Spend the second day in Udaipur sightseeing.Visit Sajjangarh Palace (Monsoon Palace) which is at the top of a hill and gives an overall view of lakes and hills.

Post lunch Visit the nearby bazaars, where you may buy miniature paintings, silver ornaments and colorful puppetsDuring the evening, watch folk dance performance in Bagore ki Haveli. Musicians play desert music and the traditional dancers in colorful costumes perform. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 6: Mount Abu Cool Hills

Rajasthan, the only hill station in Drive to Mount Abu. The cool air is such a relief to the plains.

Pay a visit to the Dilwara Temples, which are renowned in the world due to their carvings in marble. The casing and the columns appear to be lace cut in stone.

Further on, go strolling around Nakki Lake or take a boat ride. Little gardens and quiet spots you will have.Go to sleep at Sunset Point, where the orange sun is stealing behind the hills. Overnight in Mount Abu.

Day 7: Jodhpur – The Blue City

Drive to Jodhpur. Once you are checked in, start with Mehrangarh Fort which is one of the grandest forts in India. There are palaces, paintings, arms and treasures in it. You would see hundreds of blue-painted houses below the fort walls.The second stop is Jaswant Thada which is a serene marble cenotaph surrounded by gardens.During the evening, explore the old city of Jodhpur. It is vibrant with the blue houses, spice stores and cafes on top. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 8: Osian Desert Camp

Make a little excursion to Osian, a desert town where there are ancient temples and dunes. Explore Hindu and Jain temples with lot of carvings.Ride a camel into the desert in the afternoon. The desert and the golden sand dunes are stunningly quiet.You will spend the night at a desert camp where you will experience folk music, fire dinner and the star sky. Overnight in Osian.

Day 9: Jaisalmer -The Golden City.

Jaisalmer, the golden city. Once you check in, go to the Jaisalmer Fort where they keep on residing. The shops and temples are located in the narrow streets. Then go on to Patwon ki Haveli, a complex of business houses adorned with beautiful stone carvings. Each wall shows an old story. Stay overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 10: Jaisalmer Desert Magic

Begin your day at Gadisar Lake a serene lake with temples on its banks. Birds are passing by and the water is beautiful. Afternoon drive to Sam Sand Dunes. Ride a camel and walk through the desert. Take a seat at sunset on the sand, and see the sky at sunset change to golden and red. On the evening, spend your time in a cultural show in a desert camp, where there are folk dances and music. Stay overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 11: Bikaner – Forts & Camels

Desert city of Bikaner. Pay a visit to Junagarh Fort that has palaces, museums, and old armories. Then go to Camel Breeding Farm where camels are taken care of and trained. You may also find baby camels and have camel milk ice cream. In the evening take a walk through the old city of Bikaner, havelis and sweet shops. Stay overnight in Bikaner.

Day 12: Mandawa, Painted Havelis and Departure.

Mandawa, a town of the Shekhawati area. Wander in painted Havelis streets. The pictures on the walls depict gods, animals and life in general in vivid colors. Spend some time in one of the heritage haveli hotels to experience the antique beauty. Your Exotic Rajasthan Tour comes to an end in the afternoon.
